National Hearing Care just got a little greener...
At National Hearing Care we believe that we should leave as small a footprint on the environment as possible.
Our company has a stated aim to recycle, reuse and reduce our day-to-day materials and resources, including hearing aid batteries.
These batteries contain chemicals and heavy metals which can be environmentally hazardous, so it is important to dispose of them appropriately.
We are therefore delighted to announce the first New Zealand-wide hearing aid battery recycling programme.
HOW DOES THE NATIONAL HEARING CARE BATTERY RECYCLING PROGRAMME WORK?
National Hearing Care has designed a unique, fully recyclable cardboard box sourced from 100% sustainable forestry.
The recycling box holds approximately 70 - 80 hearing aids batteries, and is provided FREE of charge to all hearing aid wearers. You do not have to be a National Hearing Care client to take part in the recycling programme.
Simply fill the box with your old hearing aid batteries, and return your completely full hearing aid battery recycling box to any one of our 20 clinics, or alternatively post it to:
National Hearing CarePO Box 100260
North Shore
Auckland 0745
In return we will give you 2 FREE packets of batteries as a thank you from National Hearing Care for taking the time and effort to recycle your old hearing aid batteries.
"Sorry we cannot accept other types of batteries or rechargeable batteries at this time. To recycle these, please contact INTERWASTE on 0800 102 131"
